Always wanted to try video-chatting with your grandchildren?  Concerned about password safety and internet protection? Want to read your favorite newspaper on your new tablet, but unsure where to start?

Sign up for one or two, or register for all seven! If you have limited experience using tablets or your smart device, please sign up for The Basics so you don’t get behind in the other classes.

Please note, all classes are introductory level. Class sizes are limited, must be registered to attend.

Register below by using the order form.

CLASS SCHEDULE

You can bring along your own laptop, tablet or mobile phone. If you don’t have one, Microsoft will supply you with equipment to use during the class. (Don’t worry - Apple products are welcome, too.)

The Basics: 9/9 & 9/11

Get acquainted with the device you are using (whether you bring your own or borrow one) and master the fundamentals.  Learn the skills you will need to keep up with the class throughout the workshop series.

All about apps: 9/16 & 9/18

You hear about apps all the time, but what ARE they? Learn about what an app is and how to download and use them on your tablet or smart device. (Note: This class is for tablets and smart devices - do not bring your laptop!)

Outlook.com: 9/23 & 9/25

Learn how to use Outlook.com, a free email provider.  With your free Outlook.com email account, you can sync other email accounts, organize your calendar, access cloud storage and more.

Photos and Files: 9/30 & 10/2

Discover the options for saving and sharing photos and files.  Learn the importance of backing up your files and the various ways to do so.

Facebook: 10/7 & 10/9

Keep in touch with friends and family on Facebook.

Online security, privacy and safety: 10/14 & 10/16

Protect your accounts, information and identity.

Skype: 10/21 & 10/23

Use Skype to video chat for free with your friends and family or to make inexpensive long distance and international calls.
